Trekking and camel ride:

Arriving in Socotra by plane or by sea, the first glance at the mountains of the island might make you think that only expert and trained hikers can go trekking. DIVING:

Socotra Island's worm tropical waters are legendary amongst divers for their dramatically sheer walls rising from the depths to within inches of the surface and capped with thriving coral reefs. Scuba diving in Socotra has gained more importance among visitors to the island during the last years. Socotra Island is home to more than 680 Species of fishes and about 230 species of hard corals (five are endemic) and 30 species of soft corals. In addition to 300 species of crustacean (nine are endemic), 490 species of molluscs, and 230 species of algae. A mild climate all year round except the monsoon, water temperatures of 27 to 36°C, depending on the season, crystal clear waters and the likelihood of viewing species like barracudas, monkfish, dolphins, rays and even mantas are the main reasons why lovers of this sport consider the island of Socotra more and more for their diving holidays. From current swept plateaus to sheltered coral gardens, Socotra offers wander full rang of diving for of every level of interests and skill. Socotra also offers avid wreck dives of some old shipwrecks. Socotra fishing:

Socotra, the best GT destination in the world is now possible to fish again.

Socotra is in the north Indian Ocean, so almost all the fish of this sea are present.

The most important sportfish is GT, but in October, there is a huge migration of Spanish mackerel, and a migration of pelagic crabs, that float on the water causing a continuous feeding by many kinds of trevally such as Golden Trevally, Yellow Spotted Trevally, Bludger Trevally, and Black Tip Trevally.

Many kinds of coral fish are present such as Red Snapper, Green Jobfish, Rusty Jobfish, Coral Trout, and different species of grouper and emperor.

From shore, it is possible to find Indian Permit, Bonefish, small Threadfin, Leerfish, Bream, and Bluefin Trevally.

On jigging, it is possible to catch everything, amberjack is present too.

Sharks are also present but rarely hooked on lures, the most catched are Fox Shark on Jigging.

The best seasons to fish in Socotra are autumn and Spring because in summer and winter the wind is very strong and the sea very rough.

Camping:

dolphin and whales watching
